#308 Michael Rababy is a documentarian photographer, photo curator, and author of the book “California Love: A Visual Mixtape”. Michael has releases several photo books over the past few years. His most recent is called California Love, a visual mix tape. In it there are over 600 photos from more than 100 Californian photographers where they all share their experience of what its like to live and create in California.
It’s a really enjoyable photo book with lots of variety.
In this episode Michael shares the basics of how to create a book, and then we dive into his wheel house of curating. How to choose which images stand out above the rest, and how to develop your style and voice as a photographer.
