 As this event celebrates not only the end of the 2020-21 Learning Year, but also some of the YPO Colorado members who are graduating to Gold, Kate will chat with members Bill Flagg and Chris Riopelle as they reflect on their time in the YPO Colorado Chapter. This year’s Chapter President, James Iacino, will also share his thoughts on leading the chapter during a global pandemic. 

 The podcast also highlights the Civic Center Conservancy. Kate talks with Civic Center Conservancy Executive Director Eric Lazarri and learns more about Civic Center Park’s past, present and hopes for the future.

 The podcast also highlights the National Sports Center for the Disabled. Guests YPO’s Ellen Winkler and NCSD’s Kim Easton take a closer look at the incredible work and impact of this featured Colorado nonprofit organization.

This episode features previews and updates regarding the upcoming YPO Colorado Chapter Events, “HOME FOR THE HOLIDAY” as well as the “FESTIVE FAMILY FUNDAY SUNDAY.” This year’s holiday party goes virtual with an exciting culinary experience from Tavernetta and entertainment from the world-renowned and Denver-based Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Studio, while the family event is expected to be an in-person extravaganza at the Gaylord Rockies. YPO Colorado member Amy Parsons helps to lead a spirited interview with Cleo Parker Robinson and Malik Robinson about their inspiration and the community they have helped build. Special thanks to the Day Chairs for the holiday party, Mark and Jo Brinkerhoff, their time, support and flexibility to ensure a festive holiday experience this year was invaluable.  

The podcast also features highlights of the Winter in the City events with Downtown Denver Partnership Vice President of Downtown Experience, Sharon Alton. In addition, we hear from Dana Rinderknecht from the Community First Foundation about the upcoming Colorado Gives Day and all of the opportunities to support the deserving Colorado nonprofits. 

As with so many other industries, the local arts scene has been affected greatly by the pandemic and especially during this usually bustling holiday season. Hear from a panel of experts about the dramatic effect on the local cultural organizations and what you may be able to do to support this vital industry.

Event resource and special podcast guest is speaker, author and business expert Whitney Johnson, who will share her insights on the timely topic of disruption and how that shows up in all aspects of our lives. The podcast also features insider info and great leadership advice with the President and CEO of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, George Sparks.
