Your reactions and your emotions are your responsibility.
When you take responsibility you are no longer a victim
When you take responsibility you are in control of what you do, how you react, the outcome, and the meaning of that outcome.
When you take responsibility you can assign a positive meaning.
Empower yourself through your feelings and become your own champion not a victim waiting to be saved.

Have you been scared to chase your dreams because you are worried about someone judging the way you look? Me too.
Today it dawned on me, "what do we have to lose?"
If we don't succeed, we are precisely where we started, with a few new lessons under our belt (which is an improvement).
And if we do succeed, well, we succeeded.
This conversation isn't rocket science or groundbreaking news, but it hit me today in a way that I feel you might need to hear.
I have been listening to Rachel Hollis's book Girl, Wash Your Face and one statement hit me hard.
What it boils down to is, are you living your life in full color?
Are you waiting for permission to live your dreams? To learn a new skill? To show the world your purpose?

Why are you comparing your first step to someone else's mile?
If you find yourself stalling because of these wayward thoughts I can tell you you aren't alone. I do it too. In fact, this entire season can be summed up as a project for getting me past my limiting beliefs and the terrible habit of judging myself.

This episode is a remake of a journal entry I recently wrote. Upon completion, I felt a renewed understanding of my relationship with my sister and family in general. I felt it might help someone else. Understand that I see this as a tough-love, love letter to my sister. An... "I'm still angry, but please reach out to me. Because I'm trying to reach out to you" type of letter. It's imperfect, a lot like me. A rough edit but raw.
