In one of history’s most insidious and impactful acts of information warfare, Soviet Communist influence operatives successfully defeated Senator Joseph McCarthy’s efforts to expose their penetration of the U.S. government. 

Even though McCarthy was correct, his name was made synonymous with false allegations of imagined internal threats –creating a societal norm that there are no actual enemies within and anyone who says otherwise is beyond the pale. 

Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Lohmeier dared to defy this stricture to warn about Marxist infiltration and undermining of our armed forces.
