Judah chooses Tamar for Er
Tamar was chosen by Judah to be Er his wife
Er was wicked in God’s sight so God took him
Then Judah told Er’s brother Onan to marry his sister-in-law
Onan died because he was spilling the seed on the ground

Tamar possible thought process
As women we would want to know the why
The devastation and grief
What is wrong with me may have been her

Tamar knew the character of her father-in-law possibly
Tamar saw that Shela was not going to marry her
She then came up with a plan to get her a baby
She dressed up and caught his eye and got her baby

Junior was born and Haiti
Junior was very sickly as a child
His mom was into voodooism
His mom found Christ and began praying for him
His mom found Christ to save him
Due to the culture of Haiti and what was going on at that time she had to run to Chris
His mom raised him with Christian influence
Junior knew right from wrong

Baptized in a Haitian church
Junior was baptized around the age of 10 or 11 in the Haitian church
He got baptized the second time at the Hope church of Christ

After his second baptism
Junior knew it was time to take his walk with Christ seriously

All of You and none of me
Kim ask Christ to empty her off herself and fill her up with all of Him
That was not one of the prayers Kim prayed
She had to completely surrender to Christ

When God reveals you to you
Kim asked God to show her who she was
He revealed her flaws and brokenness in her
She had to face the woman in the mirror
Do not be a hearer, but be a doer of His word

Forgiveness is key in Kim’s walk
She was tested through forgiveness journey with her ex husband
No matter what people do we must forgive them 70*7

Ministering to her son while going through trials
Kim’s son was young when he saw her going through divorce
He remembers all of it
Now that he is older he ask more questions
We are the stewarts of our children’s heart

Judah was reluctant to let his remaining son Shelah marry Tamar, so she disguised herself as a prostitute and slept with Judah, becoming pregnant with his child.
When Judah discovered that Tamar was pregnant, he ordered her to be burned alive for prostitution, but she revealed that he was the father of her child.
Tamar gave birth to twins, Perez and Zerah, who would become ancestors of King David and ultimately Jesus Christ.
During the famine, Judah and his brothers went down to Egypt to buy grain and were reunited with their brother Joseph.
Judah offered to take Benjamin's place as a slave when Joseph accused him of stealing a valuable cup.
Judah pleaded with Joseph to spare Benjamin and offered himself as a substitute, demonstrating his willingness to sacrifice himself for his family.
When Jacob was on his deathbed, he blessed his sons and prophesied that the scepter would not depart from Judah's hand until the coming of Shiloh, a reference to the Messiah.
Judah's tribe became one of the largest and most powerful in Israel, and was known for their military prowess.
David, the greatest king of Israel, was a descendant of Judah.
The tribe of Judah played a key role in the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the restoration of the Temple after the Babylonian exile.

Grew up in the church
Kim was baptized at the age of twelve
She was baptized twice and was rebaptized at the age of 20
She was rebaptized because she understood what salvation was

How does a woman who grew up in the church end up far away from God
Kim shared with us that she did not have a intimate relationship with God
She allowed other things to be idols in her life
She never consulted God for anything
She did not know God at all

Kim’s wisdom for young adult women
Discover your identity before entertaining anything
Get to know God first and foremost
Then get to know you as a woman

Kim had to pour her heart out to God
Kim began to see the shift in her walk with the Lord
Everything she prayed for in her inner room her preacher was preaching on
God began to open her heart to Him

Judah was the fourth son of Jacob and Leah, born in Mesopotamia.
The name "Judah" means "praise" in Hebrew.
Judah and his brothers sold their younger brother Joseph into slavery and lied to their father about it.
Judah married a Canaanite woman named Shua and had three sons: Er, Onan, and Shelah.

He went to the priest to ask them about calling a man father
Bro. Clyde went to the catholic church and asked the priest why are they told to call men father
He was told by the bishop if he continued to studied the Bible they would excommunicate him

Bro. Clyde left the meeting and began to read the Bible for himself
He began to read the Bible from the scriptures left behind by the brothers he was studying with
Bro. Clyde called the brothers he was studying with and told them he was ready to be baptized

Bro. Clyde would attend gospel meeting
He began to load the church on 15 passenger vans to attend gospel meeting
He was extremely hungry for the word

His wife tried to oppose him and stop him from going to the assembly
He went to the assembly and was so upset
Bro. Clyde asked the preacher to come to his house and teach his wife the gospel
