But how can we do that living in such intense grind culture? Honestly, I’m not too sure. But let’s figure this out together, while addressing the question that haunts us all - “So..what are you doing with your life right now?”.

“Enjoy the ride” is what God whispered in my ear as I was at church on New Years Eve of 2021 asking for a word for the new year. 2022 brought a lot of things. Some things expected and hoped for. But other things I wasn’t prepared for at all. Now as I look back—yes. It was a ride. But not the ride I would’ve assumed. But more like the ride I needed.

What happens when the purity culture formula has you waiting longer than you intended, or even were promised? They can’t see you flinch or slip. Because they’ll automatically view you as less-than and you don’t want that. So, the plan is for you to only show up polished. But you quickly realize the weight of having everyone’s approval is impossible. The “fake it till you make it” mindset didn’t work after all.

You’re always available for everyone but yourself. You disregard your emotions & feelings and toss them to the side as if they’re meaningless. Meanwhile you lose yourself in the process. And you think setting boundaries is abandonment. Well, I’m here to debunk all of that.

You’re walking in your purpose. You’re doing your thing for the Kingdom. You’re unlearning those unhealthy & ungodly things you were exposed to or experienced. Life’s great. But then you hear God say “Resolve where you come from.” *skirrrrr* Wait, hold up, hold up. Huh? I already did…I think.
