China’s voice has been well heard as a strong advocate for the Global South at the BRICS and BRICS Plus meetings in Russia. The strong call for peace as well as China’s commitment to establishing centers for cooperation and capacity building for the Global South is most welcomed. Participants from conflict-inflicted Lebanon at the meeting express strong support for China's call for an immediate ceasefire in the Middle East.
