Since its initiation in 2018, the China International Import Expo has kept injecting momentum into investment, openness and people-to-people exchanges. On the sidelines of the event, we spoke with business leaders, government officials, and scholars about current issues surrounding trade and reflected on the insights from the World Trade Organization.

The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is underway in Shanghai. Why is the CIIE important? We spoke to New Zealand Trade and Agriculture Minister Todd McClay, who is leading a trade delegation to the expo with almost 70 companies.
