From San Jose to the Callywood Nation Dionne Warwick joins host Cosandra Calloway and chat's it up about her new album and where she's been for the past few years.

Dionne Warwick (born Marie Dionne Warrick; December 12, 1940) is an American singer, actress and TV show host, who became a United Nations Global Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization, and a United States Ambassador of Health.

Having been in a partnership with songwriters Burt Bacharach and Hal David, Warwick ranks among the 40 biggest hit makers of the entire rock era (1955–2012), based on the BillboardHot 100 Pop Singles Charts. Warwick ranks second only to Aretha Franklin as the most-charted female vocalist with 56 singles making the Billboard Hot 100 between 1962 and 1998. She is also a cousin of the late Whitney Houston.

If we'd had the chance to go back in time, we might have some pearls of wisdom for our younger selves. That was the inspiration behind tonights Callywood After Dark.

2 years ago I started a Culinary Arts program at Beverly Hills High School, which has been fun and hugely successful. This wasn't my first time teaching, though. I also worked at a Juvenile Detention Center back in Michigan, teaching young guys who may have lost their motivation (or never found it in the first place) that there's always a way to make it.

 

Food is life -- literally. That's why I love FOOD, because I love LIFE. We gotta enjoy both. So, as I say, food is the life of the party! (And everyone loves a good party, right?!)
