In the last few episodes we've focused on subtle differences in service structures, marketing approaches, and sales strategies. This subject is close to me because of the ways in the past that I've unconsciously benefitted from methods that were not in the highest good.  While I realize I was doing the best that I could at the time, given the information that I had, and the beliefs I had at the time, I also recognize today that I'm in a position of authority around these meta-topics of healing, and so I'm the perfect person to reveal in plain language some of the subtle ways we can give our power away!  Ironically, this can even happen in the process of trying to claim freedom for our selves, and elevate ourselves out of difficult circumstances by accepting the help of others.  The type of help we accept, and the way it's offered and received, has everything to do with how quickly the life we desire comes into view.  

Today's episode is a vignette about reducing harm by not plucking at others' pain to achieve any goal or outcome - no matter how good the intention behind your greater vision may be.

My guest today is an ex-pat Iranian artist, film director, writer, and composer named Farbod Ardebilli. He’s one of my favorite humans for a lot of reasons.

Farbod was born and raised in Tehran, where he "illegally" started an Underground Metal Band and released the first Persian language Metal album on the worldwide platforms, and then shot his first film ELLIPSIS which won acclaim as an official selection for the Montreal Festival du Nouveau Cinema, among others.

Farbod lives life in a very different way than I do, on the surface creating metal music, and rebelling against the system in very literal and substantial ways. But he has a softer heart than I do, and I really love how wears it on his sleeve. I'm honored to introduce him to you.

If there’s no exit in a maze, it’s really just a cage. There is always this false fear when you’re in a maze, that you could actually be trapped in there forever. that’s what comes to mind when we talk about looking at problems - things we don’t want to stay stuck in forever: when we believe there’s no exit, or fear there’s no exit, it’s ceases to be fun.

Is an exit strategy part of the discussions that you’re having with support around you when it comes to critical path issues of grave importance? I argue that it should be.

There are worlds within worlds when it comes to any dialogue, journey, or experience that was meaningful - the first time we experienced it. Every 9th show closes a cycle, completes a minor journey in our great journey together.  This is a universal truth: completion allows new beginnings. Death is a vital part of life, not something to fear.

Some of us had someone to read us stories when we were little. Some of us didn’t. What I’d like to do is give 9th shows over to the telling of classic children’s stories. All you have to do is show up, sit back, and prepare to enjoy.

I hope by reading you a story today you can receive something beloved but forgotten; maybe you can recover something that was once thought to be lost forever.
