Because if you are self-aware you can objectively evaluate yourself, manage your emotions, align your behavior with your values, and understand correctly how others perceive you. To see yourself clearly allows you to become more aware, alive, creative, and engaged in your life and your own wellness. At times we all do a lot of talking instead of doing. Whether it be fear or self-doubt holding us back. Maybe you spend free time reading tons of self-help articles, creating vision boards, or daydreaming of the things you wish you could do. Perhaps you believe that if you envision it every day for 10 years it will happen? Listen, I am a dreamer and believe me I dreamed up all kinds of wonderful things to "put them out in the universe" and make them happen. And, some of them did. I have been lucky. But I cannot say I sat there with my eyes closed dreaming of everything I attained. It took hard work and sweat. It took loss of friendships and dedication of time to make it all happen. It required networking and connections; late night conversations and mapping out steps and plans. It was never the power of my mind all by itself.
