Calming Threads

This episode is my reading of around the first ten minutes of Chapter 1 of The Great Gatsby

I recently got to collaborate with some other actors and take part in some online productions of TWELFTH NIGHT and THE MERCHANT OF VENICE; I'm excited to share my readings as Olivia and Salerio/Salarino.

This gem of a tale is a short one about a widow with two daughters, each of whom she treats very differently. Listen to see how one is rewarded and how one meets a very dire end.

sidenote: I may be deleting some of my older episodes soon before I produce/upload some new ones; thanks for so many listens of the fairytales, and I will continue to produce episodes of them along with bits of other heightened text.

This episode is Charles Perrault's version of Sleeping Beauty. Listen to his version of this tale of an enraged & aged fairy, an amorous prince, his ogress mother, an especially beautiful princess, and what unfolds as they encounter each other.

This episode is Charles Perrault's version of Little Red Riding Hood. Listen to his version of this tale of a girl who meets a wicked wolf and doesn't get out unscathed.

A reading of TWO BAD MICE by Beatrix Potter in its entirety

Work as an actor to understand Lady Macbeth and readings from MACBETH as Lady Macbeth

Work as an actor to know historical figures and readings from ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA as Cleopatra

I got to utilize my work with heightened text much more than I had expected on Charles Perrault's version of Cinderella. Listen to his version of this tale of a girl with so much kindness, who bestows good will upon all she encounters (including her sisters), and to whom, in the end, gets a beautiful new beginning to her life.
