We do not grow in faith and maturity on the mountain top, it is in the valley that we gain our strength and our faith grows. God often teaches more from denials than from permissions. God's refusals are full of divine possibilities and blessings. We need to look for the blessings to find them.

We live in a time when gratitude is not always easily expressed. Yet as Christians we are commanded by scriptures to give thanks unto the Lord. The fact that He is good is reason enough to praise Him and thank Him. An attitude of gratitude will change our lives and draw us closer to Christ.

There are many religions that will tell you that their doctrine is the right way to obtaining eternal life. But Jesus said that He is the only way.

Veterans Day is a time that we honor those who have served in our armed forces. Pau,l speaking of some of the spiritual warriors that had proceeded him, felt a need to tell of their heroism and accomplishment. Yet he felt he did not have enough time to speak about them and to give them the proper honor that was due them because of their heroism and service.
