Application Point: We won’t be perfect, but we can still be victorious by persevering to the end.

Application: We will find strength to remain joyful in our troubles when we learn to hold both sorrow and joy at the same time.

Big Idea of the Message: Paul was in prison, yet he considered all his suffering worthwhile in order to know Jesus better.

Application: If we keep our focus on Jesus and his purposes, we can be content in all circumstances.

Big Idea of the Message: Easter Sunday is about the victorious power of the resurrection and the victory that we share in Christ.

Application Point: We are overcomers in Christ.

John 11:1-44

Big Idea of today: This sermon looks at the resurrection of Lazarus. Jesus’s defeat of sin and death becomes a guarantee of new life for all who believe, ensuring our own victory over sin and its effects on us here and now. Just as Lazarus was raised from the dead, so we, too, can move from death to life when we place our hope in Jesus’s resurrection.
