After exploring all that this life had to offer him, King Solomon summed up the meaning of life “under heaven” this way: “fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person” (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Many other reasons are given in the Scriptures as to why we should fear God and obey Him. Therefore, this is a matter we had better not take lightly during our lifetime here on earth because to refuse the fear of the Lord is to miss out on immediate and future blessings.
