Pastor Andrew concludes our sermon series through Paul's letter to the Colossians. In this text, the apostle gives parting instructions and greetings to the churches at Colosse and Laodicea. You might be tempted to gloss over or speed-read through this portion of the letter, but there's a lot we can learn from Paul's conclusion. "There's gold in these hills," as they say; we just need to dig a little to find some serious encouragements for the church.

Pastor Andrew continues our sermon series through Paul's letter to the Colossians. In this text, the apostle exhorts the churches to continue devoting themselves to prayer, especially for gospel opportunities and faithfulness in evangelism. In this sermon, we receive the same exhortation. As we work toward church revitalization, we are committed to the same strategy the early church employed: fervent prayer, reliance on the Holy Spirit's power, and gospel proclamation.

"Letting the Peace of Christ Rule at Home" from Colossians 3:18–4:1

Pastor Andrew continues our sermon series through Paul's letter to the Colossians. In this text, Paul gives us several exhortations about how to let the peace of Christ rule in our families. This is a tough text to obey, but our discomfort with the text never invalidates God's Word. In this sermon, Pastor Andrew answers questions like: Are these commands still relevant in today's culture? Should wives still submit to husbands? Why does the Bible give commands to slaves and what could that mean for the modern Christian? How do we go about glorifying God in the nitty-gritty of our daily lives? Listen in as we seek to hear and obey God's Word, even the difficult parts.

"Dressed Up Like Jesus" from Colossians 3:12–17

Pastor Andrew continues our sermon series through Paul's letter to the Colossians. In this text, Paul exhorts us to "put on" the character of Christ. In this sermon, Andrew describes what the "well-dressed" follower of Christ looks like and what the "well-dressed" church ought to look like.

Pastor Andrew continues our sermon series through Paul's letter to the Colossians. In this text, Paul reminds us that we have died to sin and have been raised to walk with Christ in newness of life. We are exhorted to live like this is true, putting off the sins of the old flesh and putting on the righteousness of Christ.

"Jesus + Nothing = Everything" from Colossians 2:16–23

Pastor Andrew continues our sermon series through Paul's letter to the Colossians. In this text, Paul directly confronts the false gospels being taught in Colossae. In the sermon, Andrew reminds us never to add anything to the gospel of Jesus. The gospel plus the law, extra human "wisdom," or man-made regulations equals a false gospel.

"Walking with Jesus" from Colossians 2:6–15

Pastor Andrew continues our sermon series through Paul's letter to the Colossians. In this sermon, Andrew reminded us that if we walk in Christ, and if we are filled in Christ, we can stand against the schemes of our adversary. Jesus is the ultimate authority, the resurrected and resurrecting King, the Redeemer, and the victor over our enemy, so we ought to walk with Jesus in the truth and to walk with Jesus in His victory.

"Passionate Pursuit" from Colossians 1:24–2:7

Pastor Andrew continues our sermon series through Paul's letter to the Colossians. In this sermon, Andrew asked, "What are you passionately pursuing?" In our text, the apostle Paul gives his answer: he is passionately pursuing the health and spiritual growth of the church. We ought to join him in this pursuit.
