In Genesis chapter 3, we are introduced to a new character, the Serpent. In this pivotal chapter of scripture, we see the first example of spiritual warfare as Satan comes to tempt Eve. His tactics haven't changed; he continues to use them to this day. Not only do we have an enemy, but more importantly, we have a Savior.

In God's first command to humanity, He lays down a boundary to protect the blessings He is giving. We see God's creation of Eve, made equal, yet different than Adam. Then God creates marriage and gives us the foundational laws of marriage.

In Genesis 2 God gives us a detailed account of the creation of man. Here we get to see who God made us to be, and how He made us to relate to Him. Our experience of life on earth, and of God's many good gifts, has been marred by the fall. The good news is that Jesus restores what we lost in the garden.
