Paul continues to exhort the Corinthians regarding their contentious relationship and humanly valuation of things. We see his patience, and deep love for the church in these verses. 

Embracing weakness and shunning worldly power do not come naturally to us. Paul addresses the issue in 2 Corinthians 12.
