Tonight Pastor Phil continues in Romans Chapter 14, as he continues on the Apostle Paul's teaching on Christian conduct. This evening's message he touches on the freedom we have in Christ. When Jesus came, He fulfilled the Law. We have been saved by faith and sanctified by Christ's work and grace. Many in Paul's time and still now try to place us back under the Law.

Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach. Firstly, because God had sent him, but because Rome was a central 'point of the world' as 'all roads lead to Rome'. So if he shared the Gospel there, whomever received it would carry God's Word, and the testimonies of Paul and the work they'd seen done out into the four corners of the world.
Often referred to as the Gospel according to Paul, and the greatest book ever written, Paul's letter to the Romans will become our focus as Pastor Phil continues to lead us through the Word of God.

Tonight Pastor Phil finishes up Romans Chapter 13. We've seen in Chapter 12 of Romans the outline and practical application of lives as Christians. The Apostle Paul now lays out how we are to conduct ourselves with the world, and those in authority over us as a witness to those around us. He encourages us to "put on Christ", or in other words, walk in the ways of Christ so that when others look at us—they see Jesus in us... And as we put on Christ, we are a light shining in the darkness.
Pastor Phil encourages us here in Romans 13:11-14 to: Wise Up, Wake Up, Look up, Dress Up, Clean Up and Grow Up!! Father open our eyes to things in our lives that are contrary to this, by Your will..

    12-3-25
Tonight Pastor Phil continues in Romans, Chapter 13. We've seen in Chapter 12 of Romans the outline and practical application of lives as Christians. The Apostle Paul now lays out how we are to conduct ourselves with the world, and those in authority over us as a witness to those around us. A part of living in this world as a believer also means that we should not only submit to God, but also those He has put in authority over us—whether than includes our boss at work, or the government. We are called to submit to God first, and man second—as long as it does not go contrary against God's Word.

    110. Romans 13:6-10 | Final
    Calvary Chapel Elk Grove
    Pastor Phil Ballmaier
