Have you ever felt like your dreams were lost, broken, or dead? This Christmas Eve, Pastor Doug wraps up our "Family Christmas" series reminding us that God's dreams are bigger than the dreams we could imagine for ourselves. Christmas is about the fulfillment of God's dream—sending his Son Jesus as a remedy for our broken dreams.

You may find things in your family tree that bring embarrassment and shame. Similarly, Jesus came from a long lineage of imperfect men and women, yet God didn't choose to edit their stories. Let this be a reminder to us that when Jesus came, He came to make all things new. God invites us to be grafted into His family tree . . . a tree that looks a lot like the cross.

Pastor Doug continues our short series titled "A Family Christmas.” Starting with the genealogy of Jesus in the Book of Matthew, we learn one very important fact: Family is important to God. Doug proves this as he takes us through the lives of the early patriarchs, from Abraham to Judah, to see how God fulfills His purposes through flawed families.

Though most people would agree that family can drive us crazy, it still drives us. Why? Because family gives us identity and helps shape our legacy. This weekend, Pastor Doug kicked off our "Family Christmas" series teaching how even though our family may be broken, God has a remedy for our misshapen identity and out scarred legacy: Jesus.

As Pastor Chris Baselice points out in this series finale, we often need to be reminded to do the most important things in life. Fittingly, James ends his epistle by reminding us to pray for ourselves, to ask others to pray for us, and to pray about everything, including prodigals who have wandered from the faith.

This weekend, Pastor Doug wrapped up our "Invited In" series as he shared a message from Ephesians 6:10­-24. Paul closed his letter to the Ephesians with a warning that we, as the Church, are in enemy territory. And as such, we must equip ourselves with spiritual armor—the only form of protection we have against the attacks of the enemy.

Pastor Jerry Sander continues our series in the Book of James. Picking up in chapter five, we see James challenging Christians on their sinful tendencies. Tender topics are covered as we're taught how to bring our lives into holy balance.

Continuing our study in the Book of Ephesians, guest speaker Alan Platt teaches that the mystery of God's love is revealed in Christ and His relationship to the Church, which gives us the model for all other relationships. Love prompts us to give and the highest level of giving is to forgive.

Continuing our study in the Book of James, Pastor Fidel Gomez teaches through chapter four. Here we learn that the church lost sight of who they were supposed to be as Christians, as they were behaving like the world. We also learn how this is true about us today and Jesus is in the process of cleaning worldly behaviors out of us.
