Samuel is an old man, and his mind turns to the matter of the future and who will lead Israel after he is gone.  

The elders of Israel share a similar concern.  

While both Samuel and Israel's elders offer solutions, the question is who does the Lord want as the nation's leader?

Failing to heed the warmings God gave in the book of Numbers, the Israelites open the Ark, by removing the Mercy Seat on top.
