In Chapter 24, Joshua gives his farewell address to Israel. He will remind them of their history with God and encourage them about their future with God. He ends his farewell by warning the people not to abandon God, and he tells them what will happen if they do.

1 Corinthians 5 emphasizes the importance for spiritual leaders to tackle sin within the church by balancing grace and truth. It teaches that church discipline should not be viewed as punishment, but a way to help individuals return to a right relationship with God, highlighting the necessity of addressing unrepented sin with love. Additionally, we will learn steps on how to approach sin in the lives of those we have relationships with.

Joshua 23 outlines the first of two farewell addresses from Joshua before his death. He first looks back to remind the leaders of Israel of God’s great faithfulness over multiple generations. Then he looks forward with a warning about the dangers of departing from God. Joshua exhorted them to continue building from the foundational truth to love the Lord above and before anything else.

In 1 Corinthians 4:5-21 Paul reminds us that God and His Word will judge all of us, so we shouldn’t waste time judging each other and comparing our leaders. He will also correct the Corinthian church for being spiritually prideful and arrogant.

In Joshua 22, the Eastern tribes get falsely accused. Jumping to conclusions is never good, but neither is sending out mixed messages. Tonight, we’ll learn the spiritual consequences of both of those behaviors.

This weekend we will study how the Apostle Paul turns human logic upside down by contrasting worldly wisdom and Godly wisdom, emphasizing the importance of humility and reliance on divine insight. In our passage Paul will highlight the necessity of humility and reliance on God's insight, urging believers to seek divine wisdom rather than human approval. You will also see the importance of unity in Christ following only Him and not any man.
