Some of the Christians in Corinth were flailing - floundering around because they were being bamboozled into believing that there was no resurrection- - As we've noted before, what we believe will determine how we behave- - If you don't believe there's a resurrection, if you believe that this life is all that there is, then living in extreme debauchery - depravity would make sense. Defile yourself to the fullest because there's no hope, nothing to look forward to, no joy or fulfillment beyond what you grab hold of in this world -of which you won't be in very long-.

As Christians, everything we believe hinges upon the resurrection of J.C. - You start tugging on the string that doubts or denies the resurrection, everything unravels. If there's no resurrection then all of the apostles are liars, Jesus Himself is a false prophet -a deceiver-, the Word of God is untrue, untrustworthy, full of failed promises - false hopes. Because they have all prophesied, promised or bore witness to the resurrection when in reality there is no resurrection -if Jesus didn't rise from the dead-.

In the body of Christ, none are insignificant - none can be independent. We've all been gifted in some capacity by the Spirit of God - have been placed in the body specifically where God has purposed as it pertains to His plan for our lives. Each of you have a role, each of you have a responsibility if we're to function effectively as a body.-We're members individually, but collectively we make up the body. We need one another. No one has every gift, but everyone has some gift-s-- God has designed it this way so that we might have the same care for one another.
