Calvary Chapel of San Antonio

"This is a study—a glorious study—of contrasts! This is about motivation. Why do we need to talk about motivation? Remember, last week we closed by talking about Esau. He traded his birthright for a bowl of stew. He valued his physical appetite more than he valued his birthright. Like many Christians today, he wanted God’s blessing without wanting God. That is why we need to talk about motivation."

Imagination. When things look the darkest, when there seems to be no hope at all, God makes these wonderful promises of a future for His people.

"In just a few minutes (last week’s study), Jesus affirmed the reality of angels, spirits, and resurrected life in physical bodies— everything the Sadducees denied. Now, He goes on to teach them something about Himself. This is the one question we all will answer face-to-face with the Lord: who is Jesus, this Son of David."
