Before Christ, none of us could love difficult people.  Remember, John has been beating us up with the need to love all our brothers and sisters—the reason, you’ll remember, is that seeing us love one another is the only way the lost in this world can ever see God while they are alive.

We should never stop marveling that God has chosen to make His earthly home with us.  It is an amazing concept—God chose to live here on earth in us!
