In this teaching we finish Lamentations 1 and move into Chapter 2, where we see the seriousness of sin, the faithfulness of God’s warnings, and why even in seasons of deep sorrow we can still bring our grief honestly before the Lord.

As Jerusalem mourns the devastation around her, Lamentations begins to reveal something deeper: this wasn’t simply the result of Babylon’s power. God had warned His people for generations, and the consequences of their continued rebellion had finally come.

What happens when we do what’s right—and it still costs us something? 

Peter reminds us that following Christ doesn’t mean we’ll never face opposition or difficulty. But when Christ is Lord of our hearts, we don’t have to be controlled by fear. Instead, we can live with a hope that others can see—and be ready to explain the reason for that hope with gentleness and grace.

In this teaching we conclude our study through the Book of Jeremiah, picking up in chapter 51, verse 47 and continuing through chapter 52. As God's judgment upon Babylon and Jerusalem unfolds exactly as He foretold, we're reminded that His Word never fails.
