We will look at how we must continue to grow in our relationship with the Lord and be diligent to not fall back into the mindset of a babe in Christ, but become mature in our faith.

Rahab was taking a step of faith. She knew that the king’s men were searching for the two men but she, trusted in the living God above all she knew and understood in her own life. You can honestly say that the fear of God rose up in her that day!

Now the writer of Hebrews turns his thought to Jesus being our high priest, and how important it is that we hold on to our confession of Him and who He is in our lives.

Surrender to God can only come when we come to the end of ourselves. This may seem like a conflict and in a way it is. If I am resting, why is there an ongoing battle between my flesh and my spirit? How can I find rest in the midst of this ongoing battle? This is what we are going to look at today. I will be looking at several scriptures this morning and it may appear I’m on rabbit trails, but I assure you it will all come together, Lord willing.

We are going to continue our theme of “Today” and we will be looking at God’s rest for today.

Christs Final Week

We will be introduced to Joshua and learn who he was.

If we recognize and worship the high priest of the New Covenant, we need to listen to His voice and walk in obedience.

We will see that Jesus fulfilled the will of the Father, and through His death, He defeated the power of death and became our High Priest.
