Jesus sends His people into His harvest with His authority and His message. In Luke 10, we see that living on mission means being available to go, faithfully representing the King, and trusting His authority over what we face. Yet our greatest joy is not what God accomplishes through us, but that through Christ we belong to Him. 

Following Jesus is a lifelong journey of remaining teachable. In Luke 9, even the disciples need Jesus to correct their confidence, conclusions, and conditions for following Him. Their mistakes remind us that experience never replaces dependence. A true disciple keeps listening when confused, receives correction when wrong, and lets Jesus determine what following Him looks like. 

In Luke 9:28-36, God reveals the glory of Jesus before the disciples face circumstances they will struggle to understand. When life doesn’t make sense, our fears, assumptions, and expectations can become louder than God’s truth. The Father’s words still point us in the right direction: “Hear Him.” Know who Jesus is, trust His Word, and follow Him even when you don’t understand what He is doing.

In this message from Luke 9:18–27, Jesus reveals that recognizing Him as the Christ is only the beginning. He calls us to receive Him as the suffering Messiah and to follow Him with wholehearted faith. As we answer His question, "Who Do You Say That I Am?", we're invited to trust Him, surrender to Him, and walk faithfully in His ways. 

In this message from Luke 9:1–17, God teaches us that the life of faith is built upon Christ's authority and His faithful provision. As Jesus calls His disciples to obey, endure, and depend upon Him, we discover that true faith grows when we trust Him beyond our own resources. May we learn to count Christ before we count our resources.
