When you approach the Bible, remember, it is a three step process: 1) Take it in; 2) Think it through; 3) Live it out!
In the first part of this psalm David expresses his anguish with his situation. Times of anguish are common.
During seasons of distress, trials or anguish, (as we are in now) we should be seeking the Lord for our strength. We should trust in the Lord and put our faith in Him.
ACTION ITEMS:
Habakkuk 3:17-18
Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
