The kingdom of God does not come about by normal earthly means, but by God’s inner workings that permeate all of creation to bring about His ultimate glory and power.

Union with Christ is God’s Sabbath for His people. He is the righteousness of God that cultivates humility toward God and man, produces fruit that endures, and is rest for the weary soul.

Tragedy and suffering in this world point us to God’s final judgment, call the lost to repent, and prompt God’s people to live in faithful anticipation of His return.

The crucified and risen Christ is the standard by which all men will be judged and the call for all men to be reconciled to God.

The faithful disciple of Jesus must, through the lens of God’s Word and by the ministry of the Holy Spirit, be convinced of the things in life that really matter and, to that end, live His life. 

You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
