The book of Acts gives a glimpse of the factors involved when the local church sends missionaries from its assembly to the regions beyond.

God's sufficient sacrifice, complete Priesthood and final covenant prompts the believer to continue to draw near in full assurance of faith, continue to hold fast the confession of hope without wavering and to continue caring for one another.

Christ came to accomplish what the law could never do in perfecting those who draw near, sanctifying them through the offering of His body once for all.

Christ's coming into this world was with the intent to do the will of the Father and to finish His work. As a result, we have been set apart to Him as His own for all eternity.

The vast expanse of creation causes the psalmist to query the value of man and to delight in God's mindfulness to consider him and to redeem.

God's extravagant mercy, incomprehensible love and abundant grace has provided in Christ the means through which men, dead in trespasses and sins might be saved to become His workmanship.

In His life Christ fulfilled the law to the fullest extent, in His death He paid the penalty for our violation of the law by bearing God’s wrath intended for us, and in His resurrection He declared victory over sin and removed death’s sting. It is to this Christ we are united. It is to this Christ we now belong.

The law has absolutely no binding power or authority over a dead man… and so the Christian has died to the law through the body of Christ.

Paul’s explanation of positional truth serves not only to show the moral incongruity of sin in the life of the believer, but more so to point out the danger of self-surrender to sin in your life. Paul argues that it will lead to voluntary slavery to do the very thing from which you have been delivered and for which God’s wrath will come.

Understanding and appropriating the believers union with Christ is the essential basis for sanctification and the Christian life. Genuine christian living does not exist outside of the believers union with Christ.
