Nothing grieves the heart of a parent more than a child that has gone astray, especially when the child has been taught the right way and has still chooses to fall away. This is exactly what we are going to see today with the children of Israel. Although God had shown them the right way, AND loved them like a faithful husband, they decided to go their own way instead and their love for God had grown cold. And the same thing can happen to us on an individual level, but also on national level as well.

Today we look at different types of sin and how we can find victory over them. God uses Scripture to give us a picture of spiritual life and how we are to live it, and in the Old Testament we see a picture of different types of sins. Although some sins are harder to defeat than others, they ALL are defeated the same way. By God’s Word, faith, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

As great as the physical battle is that has been unfolded to Daniel, he comes to understand that there is an even greater and more real battle that is driving all that is happening in the physical realm. Daniel gets a peak into the battle behind the battle and the fact that there is much more than meets the eye.

Pastor Mark encourages us all to be a witness for Christ, and although we may not have much success within our own family, we should always be willing to give an answer for the joy we have in us.
