In today's passage, we see Jesus gathering His disciples as He calls out to them to follow Him. We are like the modern day disciples, in that He calls us today to follow Him. We need to be willing to give up everything of ourselves and truly follow Him, just as the disciples did. When we follow the Lord, we will see amazing things, just as Nathanial did in today’s passage. Are you ready to follow Jesus and see Him do amazing things?

When the King of Babylon finds himself unable to sleep due to a very disturbing dream, he demands to know it's meaning. Though all his counselors fail, God opens the understanding of Daniel and his three friends and they reveal to the king a message of the future that is meant to be a spiritual wake up call in his life.

Today we see John the Baptist pointing all eyes to Jesus as he is baptizing at the river Jordan. And we as Christians are called to do that as well today, to point all eyes to Jesus. Pastor Mark presents a challenge to us. John was being a witness for the Lord, are you being a witness for the Lord in your life? The only way to be an effective witness is by the power of the Holy Spirit. All we need to do is simply ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
