As Joseph's brothers arrive with Benjamin, Joseph provides them an incredible invitation to eat at his table. In this, we find such a picture of the amazing fellowship that our Lord extends to us.

As the sons of Jacob find themselves unknowingly standing before their brother Joseph in need of grain, we see how the Lord through Joseph tests their hearts and exposes their guilt. As we see the actions of Joseph we also see the actions of our Lord to deal with the sin we often try and hide in our lives.

After reading this passage of scripture it should cause us to focus on the eternal things of heaven. We need to be reaching out to our unsaved family and friends and sharing the gospel. Time is short and we need to be about our father’s business.
