Over and over again in scripture we see that God never chooses anyone based on their outward appearance. And yet, over and over again in life, that's usually our first consideration in choosing anyone for anything. Unfortunately, for many people it's the only thing they consider. Today Pastor Mark shows that God not only looks on the heart, but He also shapes and molds the hearts that are yielded to Him. David's own family didn't consider him to be kingly material because of his appearance and his lowly place in the family pecking order. But God knew what David would become, because David's deepest ambition was to serve Him.
