This week’s message, The Rhythm of Living (Romans 8:12-13), reminded us that as children of God, we are free from the pull of the sinful nature and invited into a Spirit-led life of discipline, relationship, and transformation. Pastor David and Pastor Lydia showed us how discipline is not about empty checklists, but about creating holy rhythms that keep us centered on Christ, even in life’s busiest seasons.

Living in step with the Spirit affirms our identity, grows the fruit of the Spirit in us, and frees us from fear, doubt, and striving.

This is the Rhythm of Living—walking in the Spirit, resting in relationship, and standing firm in our anointing.

In this week’s message, The Warrior’s Way, we journeyed through Romans 8 to discover how true strength is found in Christ and in living by the Spirit. Pastor David reminded us that in Christ there is no condemnation, no bondage to sin, and the gift of abundant life.

The way of the warrior is the way of the Spirit—where the mind becomes the battlefield, sensitivity to God outweighs material distractions, and grace produces lasting fruit. Because the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives within us, we are empowered to walk in freedom, transformation, and resurrection power.

This message is a call to rise, live by the Spirit, and embody the Warrior’s Way.

This past Sunday, our Senior Founding Pastor, Janeen McBath, delivered a life-changing message on The Rhythm of Praise from 2 Chronicles 20. She reminded us that while battles may come, victory is not won through our strength but through faith, worship, and trust in God’s word.

Just as Judah’s praises released God’s power to defeat their enemies, Pastor Janeen showed us that our willingness to lift up a sound of praise can shift atmospheres, break strongholds, and turn battles into blessings. 

In “All Things Considered,” Pastor David Osborne reminds us that while the law reveals our struggle with sin, only Jesus brings true freedom. Life’s pauses and struggles may feel like setbacks, but God is still shaping us through them. All things considered, we don’t just need rules—we need a Savior.

Just as music is shaped by rhythm, our spiritual lives find meaning and freedom when ordered by grace—not the exhausting demands of the law or self-striving.

Drawing on Scripture, every day life experiences, and even powerful hip-hop testimonies from Virginia’s own legendary rap duo Malice and Pusha T, Pastor David shows how God’s grace empowers us to belong to Christ, live in freedom, and bear fruit through the Spirit.

Revival isn’t about performance—it’s about living, moving, and having our being in the rhythm of God’s grace.

In his message “Leveling Up from the Inside Out,” Pastor Derrick Barbee reminds us that true transformation begins within, showing us how Jesus called ordinary fishermen not to “do” first, but simply to “be” with Him.

Just as the Smurfs’ names reflected their true identity, Pastor Barbee explains that only God’s call defines who we really are—not the labels others put on us. With honesty and encouragement, he teaches that God sees us right where we are, calls us into authentic relationship with Him, and patiently works with us as we stumble, return, and grow. Real change, he says, is a process that happens from the inside out—when we let go of old nets, embrace God’s naming, and step into purpose that makes an eternal difference.

In his stirring message, “Win Anyway,” Dr. Bobby Manning challenges us to embrace unwavering faith in the face of trials. Drawing from Scripture and from personal stories like visiting a Lakers game, playing spades, and even Wrestling, Dr. Manning shows how Christians can triumph not by ignoring setbacks, but by leaning into God’s promises.

Through seasons of difficulty, the Apostle Paul’s example surfaces—to rejoice in suffering, claim peace amidst turmoil, and activate hope that transcends circumstances. Dr. Manning reminds us that victory isn’t measured by earthly outcomes—it’s found in a posture of trust when we lean into divine purpose, pray with conviction, and keep moving forward. Whether today’s challenges feel heavy or hopeful, this sermon equips you to rise and WIN ANYWAY.

In his engaging and visually impactful message titled "Nail it",  Pastor Rodney Manley brought the Word to life once again—complete with his signature use of props on stage. Centering on  2 Kings 6:8-16 and Ephesians 6:10-12, Pastor Rodney walked us through a spiritual strategy for overcoming opposition and stepping into purpose.

He reminded us to pray for permission like Nehemiah’s builders who worked with one hand and held a weapon in the other, to prepare ourselves through study of God’s Word, to move into position by facing the enemy boldly, and to receive promotion by living with compassion and service to others. This message wasn't just inspiring—it was a call to action for spiritual readiness, faith-filled positioning, and kingdom impact.

In his powerful and soul-searching message, “How to Catch the Real Thief,” Bishop B. Courtney McBath challenged us to transform our thinking so we can live in the freedom Christ intended. Using the story of a falsely accused jewel thief as a metaphor, Bishop reminded us that many of us are blaming the wrong people—or even ourselves—for the pain and setbacks in our lives.

Drawing from Romans 12:2, Ephesians 6, and John 10:10, he made it clear: the real thief is the enemy of our souls, not our past, our boss, or our church. We must stop living in condemnation, stop arresting others, and most importantly, stop arresting ourselves. Instead, we are called to renew our minds, receive God’s grace, and fight back with the truth of God’s Word. When we finally catch the real thief—Satan—we can begin reclaiming all that he has stolen from us, sevenfold. It’s time to take back your peace, your purpose, and your identity in Christ.
