What happens after the seven seals are opened? In Part 6 of Calvary Assembly’s Wednesday night End Times series, Pastor George Sawyer continues through the timeline of Revelation, moving from the seven seals into Revelation 7 and then into the seven trumpet judgments of Revelation 8–11.

This message highlights the precision and sovereignty of God throughout prophetic history. Pastor Sawyer connects Jeremiah’s 70-year prophecy and Daniel’s 70 weeks to the larger End Times timeline, explaining the Church Age, the Rapture, and the seven-year Tribulation. As this prophetic period unfolds, the study examines God’s dealings with Israel, His judgment of the nations, and the consequences of humanity’s continued rebellion.

Revelation 7 provides an important parenthetical look at people who are saved during the Tribulation. Pastor Sawyer explains the 144,000 sealed Jewish servants, 12,000 from each of the tribes listed in the passage, and the great multitude from every nation who come out of the Great Tribulation.

The study then moves into Revelation 8 and 9, where the seven trumpet judgments begin. These judgments escalate in intensity while demonstrating remarkable limitation and precision, with many of the judgments affecting a third of the earth, sea, waters, and heavenly bodies. The message walks through the destruction brought by the first four trumpets, the darkness and supernatural devastation that follow, the opening of the abyss during the fifth trumpet, and the release of bound angels connected to a massive army in the sixth trumpet.

Yet even in the midst of extraordinary judgment, Scripture records a sobering truth: many people still refuse to repent.

The seventh trumpet in Revelation 11 announces the coming reign of God and points toward an intensification of judgment. Pastor Sawyer also addresses the prophetic picture of the Antichrist turning against Israel in the middle of the Tribulation.

This study of Revelation is ultimately a reminder that God’s prophetic timeline is not random or uncertain. He knows the beginning from the end, His timetable is fixed, and His purposes will be accomplished.

What happens when the Tribulation begins?

In Part 5 of Calvary’s Wednesday night End Times series, Pastor George Sawyer walks through Revelation 6 and the opening of the seven seals, connecting John’s vision to Daniel’s 70th week, the Rapture, the rise of the Antichrist, and the unfolding of God’s prophetic timeline.

Pastor Sawyer explains the seven-year Tribulation as the final “week” of Daniel’s 70 weeks, divided into two distinct halves. He also teaches through the chronological structure of Revelation, showing how the seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven bowls unfold as successive judgments.

At the center of Revelation 5 is the scroll sealed with seven seals, described as the title deed to the earth and representing the completion of God’s redemptive plan. The question is asked: Who is worthy to open the scroll? The answer is Jesus Christ, the Lamb who alone is worthy.

From there, Revelation 6 begins to unfold.

The first six seals reveal a sobering progression: the rise of the Antichrist, global warfare, famine and economic collapse, widespread death, the persecution and martyrdom of believers, and cosmic signs pointing toward divine intervention. Pastor Sawyer also connects these events with Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 24 and explains the distinction between the rider on the white horse in Revelation 6 and Jesus Christ returning on the white horse in Revelation 19.

The study also looks ahead to Revelation 7, where a parenthetical passage describes those who are saved during the Tribulation, including the 144,000 Jewish evangelists, before the seventh seal introduces a striking moment of silence in heaven and prepares the way for the trumpet judgments.

This message is a serious study of biblical prophecy, but it is also a reminder that God remains sovereign over history. The purpose of understanding the End Times is not to live in fear, but to live with faith, discernment, urgency, and readiness.

Have you ever felt spiritually worn down? Have you wondered why staying faithful to God can feel like such a battle?

In Part 3 of The Lord Himself Will Come, Pastor George Sawyer continues the series on the return of Jesus Christ, beginning with the promise of 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17: “The Lord himself will come.” Alongside the promise of Christ’s return, Scripture gives a warning about the enemy’s strategy in the last days: to wear out the saints.

Drawing from Daniel 7, Pastor Sawyer explains how spiritual warfare can leave believers exhausted, discouraged, distracted, and tempted to compromise. He connects this warning to the spiritual climate of our culture, the growing confusion surrounding truth, and the biblical warnings about falling away and deceiving spirits found in passages such as 2 Thessalonians 2 and 1 Timothy 4.

But the last days are also marked by an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 2, Peter declares that God’s promise to pour out His Spirit is connected to the last days. The Church is called to stand in the middle of both the conflict and the outpouring, refusing to give in to fear or spiritual exhaustion.

If you feel worn down in your faith, remember this: God knows your load. He knows your battle. He has not forgotten you.

The enemy may try to wear you down, but Jesus is holding you by His love.

What does Daniel’s prophecy of 70 weeks have to do with the Rapture, the Tribulation, the Antichrist, and the book of Revelation?

In Part 4 of this Wednesday night End Times series, Pastor George Sawyer walks through one of the Bible’s most significant prophetic passages: Daniel’s 70 weeks. Daniel 9 describes 70 “sevens,” or 490 years, beginning with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem and tracing a prophetic timeline that leads to Jesus Christ. After 69 weeks, or 483 years, the prophetic timeline reaches the events surrounding Christ’s triumphal entry and crucifixion, followed by the present Church Age and what Scripture calls the “time of the Gentiles.”

Where are we on God’s end-time calendar? And if Jesus really is coming again, how should we live right now?

In Part 2 of The Lord Himself Will Come, Pastor George Sawyer continues teaching through Bible prophecy and the return of Jesus Christ, reminding the Church that we are living in a significant season of God’s redemptive plan. The goal is not to set dates or stir fear, but to understand what Scripture says and allow the promise of Christ’s return to change the way we live today.

Beginning in Acts 2 and Joel, Pastor Sawyer explains the biblical connection between Pentecost and the “last days.” When the Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost, Peter declared that what was happening fulfilled Joel’s prophecy concerning the last days. God’s Spirit was being poured out on sons and daughters, men and women, and across generations. The Church age began with an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and Scripture points us toward the return of Christ.

The message then turns to Daniel 9 and the prophecy of the 70 weeks, or 70 sevens. Pastor Sawyer walks through the decree to rebuild Jerusalem under Artaxerxes and the prophetic timeline leading to the Messiah, including the fulfillment surrounding Jesus’ triumphal entry and crucifixion. After the 69th week, the prophetic timeline enters a period often described as the Church Age or the time of the Gentiles.

According to the end-times framework taught in this message, the next major event is the Rapture of the Church described in 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17. The Rapture is followed by the final seven-year Tribulation period, bringing the prophetic timeline toward its climax and the eventual return of Jesus Christ.

But the emphasis is not simply on understanding prophecy, it is on being ready.

Jesus told His followers to watch and pray. Scripture warns that the enemy seeks to wear out the saints and pull believers away from faithfulness. We cannot afford to become spiritually exhausted, distracted, or complacent. We are called to remain strong, keep our eyes on Jesus, walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and live with the expectation that our King is coming.

The question is not just, “Where are we on the calendar?” The question is, “Are we ready?”

The Bride must stay ready.
The Church must stay awake.
The believer must stay faithful.

God’s plan for the End Times is not random, and the book of Daniel gives us a remarkable look at how God has been directing history toward His eternal purpose.

In Part 3 of Pastor George Sawyer’s End Times series at Calvary Assembly, we journey through Daniel 1, 2, 5, 9, and 10 to understand the prophetic timeline surrounding Israel, the nations, the coming Tribulation, and the return of Jesus Christ. Before Daniel was given insight into dreams and visions, he first had to make a decision to remain faithful to God in Babylon.

Daniel refused to compromise his identity or convictions, and God rewarded that faithfulness with wisdom, understanding, and supernatural revelation. Pastor Sawyer then walks through Nebuchadnezzar’s statue dream in Daniel 2, explaining the successive kingdoms represented by the statue: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome, and the final divided kingdom represented by iron and clay. The dream ultimately points beyond earthly kingdoms to a stone not cut by human hands, representing the eternal kingdom of Christ that will overcome every human empire.

The teaching then turns to one of the most significant passages in Bible prophecy: Daniel’s prophecy of the 70 weeks, or 70 sevens. Pastor Sawyer explains the 490-year prophetic period concerning Israel, beginning with the decree to rebuild Jerusalem and pointing toward the coming Messiah. Daniel prophesies that the Messiah would be “cut off,” followed by the destruction of Jerusalem, before a prophetic gap leading into the present Church Age.

The final prophetic week remains ahead. This seven-year period includes the rise of the Antichrist, a covenant with Israel, the breaking of that covenant, the abomination of desolation, escalating judgment, and ultimately the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Pastor Sawyer also connects Daniel’s final kingdom imagery with the revived Roman Empire and the ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.

As we study Daniel, we are reminded that history is not outside God’s control. Kingdoms rise and fall. Nations change. Empires disappear. But God’s Word remains, His purposes stand, and His kingdom will have no end.

The question for us is the same one Daniel answered with his life: Will we remain faithful to God when the world around us pressures us to compromise?

Holy Ghost Fire & Moral Clarity: A Call to Revival Like the Great Awakening

Joe Oden calls believers to reject the pressure to fit into cultural labels and instead speak with biblical clarity about abortion, marriage, holiness, sin, salvation, and the lordship of Jesus Christ. Revival will not come through watered-down preaching, political arguments, or church-growth strategies. It comes when the people of God pray, fast, repent, and seek the power and fire of the Holy Spirit.

Drawing a powerful parallel to John the Baptist, this message reminds us that God often prepares His servants in the wilderness before giving them a public voice. John was formed in solitude, empowered by God, and sent to prepare people to meet the Lord. The same Holy Spirit who empowered the early Church is still calling believers to a life of surrender, holiness, boldness, and spiritual power.

Revival starts with one person saying yes to God.

This is a call to stop playing church, stop watering down the Gospel, and allow salvation to transform every part of our lives. Jesus does not simply improve our lifestyle, He changes us. He calls us to repentance, holiness, and new life through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The question is not whether America needs another awakening. The question is whether we are willing to become the people through whom God can bring one.

Pray. Fast. Repent. Stand on the Word. Seek the Holy Spirit and fire.

What happens after the Rapture? When does the Tribulation begin? And what is the difference between the Rapture of the Church and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ?

In Part 2 of Pastor George Sawyer’s End Times Events series at Calvary, we continue walking through the biblical timeline of events that Scripture says are still ahead. The next step in God’s plan is the Rapture of the Church, followed by the seven-year Tribulation, the return of Jesus Christ to earth, the Millennial Kingdom, final judgment, and eternity.

Pastor Sawyer explains an important distinction between the Rapture and the Second Coming. At the Rapture, Jesus comes in the air for His Church, and believers are caught up and transformed in an instant. Paul describes this as a mystery revealed to the Church in 1 Corinthians 15, while 1 Thessalonians 4 gives us the promise that believers will be caught up to meet the Lord. The Second Coming is different: after the Tribulation, Jesus returns to earth with His saints, fulfilling Old Testament prophecy and bringing judgment and victory.

This message also examines Revelation 16 and 19, Zechariah 12 and 14, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, and other passages that point to the events surrounding Christ’s return. Pastor Sawyer addresses the Tribulation as a time of God’s wrath, the promise that believers are not appointed to wrath, the biblical teaching about the dead in Christ, glorified bodies, the battle of Armageddon, and the role of the Church as the restraining influence against the Antichrist until it is taken out of the way.

There are many teachings and predictions about the End Times, but our confidence must come from the Word of God, not speculation, fear, or false teaching. The Old Testament prophets still matter. Scripture still speaks. Jesus is still coming. And the Church must be ready.

Don’t live in fear. Live in faith. Don’t hoard for what is coming—prepare your heart for Jesus.
