In the work that he had before him, Joshua left nothing that had been commanded undone. Joshua was not as concerned as to the channel through which the orders had been concerned, as he was with the source of the commands. He submitted himself to the command. Like Joshua, we to have received our commands; and like Joshua, we must remember that true faithfulness rests upon our living our lives in such a way that they illustrate that we believe that the words God has spoken are true.
We must remember the reward that comes through our warfare as we seek to bring down thoughts, worldviews, beliefs, and ideas that stand at odds with the heart of God. Faithfulness brings fruitfulness, resolve and perseverance, and our sanctification.
