Camber Up

In episode six of Camber Up, we chat about the Stream Team Fire Fundraiser and how you can help. Gavin Trussell is back with an update on his experience at the US F3K Team Selections for the 2022 World Championsips, and we give our thoughts on the increasing number of mixed-launch events where electric F5K models are flown together with F3K/DLGs in local and regional contests.

In episode five of Camber Up, we have Toby Herrera with us to chat about how he got started in RC gliders, F3K and F5J. We revisit his journey to be the first to throw a DLG to 300 feet and later 100 meters and his experience at the World Championships. Then, we rack his brain on thoughts of F5J, how to improve, and his equipment preferences.

In episode four of Camber Up, Gavin Trussell is back with us to chat about the different skillsets you need to perform at the top level of DLG/F3K and F5J contests, how he practices for the different rc glider events, and his thoughts on a glider's all up weight and ballasting. We also talk about choosing your discus launch glider for contest and sport pilots.

In this episode of Camber Up, we have AERO+ owner Nick Wu (aka Wu Yuhui) from China. You might know him from his DLG contest livestreams, or as designer of the popular CX5 F3K glider. We'll chat about some of his notable designs like the CX5 and Flare, the FAI events he flies (F3K, F5K, F5J), and take a look at the incredible world of RC soaring in China.

In the first episode of our new Camber Up! video podcast series, we have Gavin Trussell from Ohio joining us. Gavin is one of the best DLG and RC sailplane pilot in North America and is a Team Pilot for ArmSoar, Horizon Hobby, and KST Servos. We'll chat about getting started in DLG/F3K contests as a beginner, why you should join and how to get the most out of it.

In episode three of Camber Up, Nick Wu is back with us to chat about choosing your first discus launch glider, what we are looking for in DLG radios, receivers, servos and batteries. We all have our own preferences, but this will give you a good idea on what we use and recommend and why we do so.
