In Episode Six We turn our attention to fitness. The National health Service recommends around 2 hours of vigorous exercise a week. This means getting the heart pumping. But quite a few people do not heed this advice. But a lot of the population do undertake exercise. Many join the local walking group that many surgeries now run. Many people walk their dog more often. And some take up running, joining in their local park run. But many like the comfort of their local commercial gym. There are though more options to get fit than to stand on the treadmill or even try and get fit on the cycle machine or even the rowing machine. Body building is one of those things that can reduce weight and at the same time gain muscle.

In this podcast I talk to my Personal trainer George Stanley on what made him take up Body Building and why its beneficial to someone’s health and mental wellbeing. On what a Personal trainer does and the sort of clients he has. And how he wants his future to expand into management and become a manager of a gym. In Episode Five I talk about Mental Health. This subject is all around us. It took me by surprise when my wife became mentally ill. I felt isolated when mental health services intervened. They then referred me to Making spaces. It provides Carer Support workers for those that are looking after mentally ill relatives or friends and provides residential, respite and day care services. And is based in Warrington.

In this Podcast I talk to my Care support worker Gillian Loveday who explains the role she plays in helping us carers. In Episode Four I talk to Cambridge’s member of Parliament Daniel Zeichner. Daniel a very active member of the labour Party since he left university campaigned for many years and wanted to go further. The opportunity came when he stood  for election to South Norfolk District Council. And then becoming the East of England representative on Labours National Policy Forum and becoming the National Political Officer for his union Unison. But the goal was to become an MP!

In this podcast we talk to Daniel on his experiences as a political activist and member of the Labour party and going behind the scenes of what makes an MP. And we also discuss his present views of local and national politics. We also talk about his future.

In Episode three of this Podcast, I talk to Landscape Archaeologist and local historian Michelle Bullivant. Michelle did not originally want to train as an archaeologist, but her interest was so strong that she decided to become one. But this was not as easy that she thought.

In this podcast she shares with us her experiences to become one and then goes on to tell us about how genealogy has also become part of her life. She also goes on to tell us what she is now doing in researching history as her role of being a main career to her son has become her main occupation.

In Episode Two I talk to my older Brother Timothy Odell. Tim who once lived in Cambridge decided to join Cambridge Labour Party. He was a very active member of the East Chesterton branch. In 1997 he decided that he would put himself up for selection in the forthcoming County Council election. He was selected and he became a candidate in the East Chesterton seat against the strong incumbent Joe Nunes. Against all expectations Tim won the seat.

Here we talk to Tim on why he joined the labour Party and his experience as a Councilor.  As Tim now lives in Newcastle we also talk about how the North of England view politics and the present Westminster government.

Episode One. It is time to start the Quest and to find all those people that want to tell their story. From the politician who wants to be a lot more known. To the street food stall holder telling us what they sell. To the not-for-profit organization which wants to expand its operation. To the community organization who wants people to join their ranks. To the or the theatres that need more people to come and see their productions. It could be the wannabee searching around to start their pop career. Or just a talented individual who wants to tell the world what they do! So lets begin the search!
