If I am trying to inspire Christians, I have two thousand years of examples but Paul does not. He is attempting to help create examples in Corinth. Chapter Nine is a continuation of his teaching in Chapter Eight. We make choices to reach people for Jesus' sake.

We love to procrastinate. We can call it a reaction to stress or anxiety but it is there in our lives and in our communities of faith. Paul calls us to have a sense of urgency instead.
