In our tenth lesson from the book of Ephesians, Ellen takes us to the latter half of Chapter Five.

These two stories ask Abraham, by now a very old man, to give up two of the most priceless treasures he has, his two sons. In the end, God provides but why subject him to the torture? Perhaps we need to look at our own weak understanding of sacrifice.

This week, Ellen will begin exploring Chapter Five of Ephesians.

Today, we look at the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Could it really be so wretched that it needed to be destroyed? Most of us get sidelined with the sexual activity implied in the text but if we do, we miss the real problem. It was an act of power, not sex. Ezekiel tells us the real sin of Sodom.

This week, Ellen will take us through the latter half of the fourth chapter.

It has been 25-30 years since Abraham and Sarah left Ur and traveled to Canaan. Many things have changed but one thing remains the same. Sarah still does not have a child. How long should you wait for a promise?
