It's part one of the two part 7th Heaven season 2 finale and we're left with another brilliant cliffhanger re: Mary. Wilson, Jimmy Moon-Man, and Rastafarian Rod return to keep us all on our toes. The CamRents are hornier than ever and looking for a way to get the kids out of the way for the summer which shouldn't be much trouble being that Matt has a secret summer job offer across the country to pursue.

Episode 218 of 7th Heaven sees the Camdens hosting an exchange student from France and stereotypes are abound. Annie and the Rev discover chat rooms and Catfishing, Mary and Lucy continue their desperate attempts to court any man they meet, and Simon and Ruthie take up smoking.

In episode 219 of 7th Heaven Matt pushes the boundaries on just how willing his parents are to grant him freedom in exchange for attending a local college. Simon brings home a dirty girl and totally dehumanizes her while also falling in love and the Rev of course forces the entire CamFam to meddle in this girls life while Sergeant Michaels continues with his questionable police practices.

7th Heaven is back at it trying to force tertiary characters into stereotyped boxes in episode 220! Someone actually asks the Rev to meddle in their lives and it ruins Lucy and Mary's plans to go with their brother to prom. Ruthie is in love with a dinosaur that the Rev used to date and things get weird.

Episode 217 of 7th Heaven has the Camdens dealing with grief once more. Brenda Hampton introduces a character into Lucy's life simply to take said character away within the first twenty minutes of the episode. Erin and Tanvee ponder whether or not this episode really was the best way to incorporate Beverley Mitchell's real life experience of losing a friend into the show.

The Hamilton family returns to the Camdens lives in episode 216 of 7th Heaven, "It Takes A Village" which is presumably named to suggest to us that the Camdens and Hamiltons cannot raise their own children on their own. We learn that the families apparently have an "annual family day" that will never be spoken of again. None of the kids want to participate because they want to participate in hijinks and the fathers similarly find themselves in trouble.

7th Heavens breaks with all conventional television wisdom in episode 215, "Homecoming." For some reason Homecoming is in February and the big game that everyone is looking forward to is the girls varsity basketball game. Annie continues to be childish and separates herself and Ruthie from Ruthie's class while she is chaperoning a field trip and Simon is afraid of his science teacher because she is really unnecessarily rude and mean to her sixth grade class. Lucy's "best friend" returns under suspicious circumstances and Mary and Diane continue their romance on and off the basketball court.

In episode 214, 7th Heaven tries to make comedy out of bureaucracy and it ends up being about as comical as it is in real life. Of course, as everyone knows if anyone can take down bureaucracy it's the Rev. Annie goes on some mission to make all of the CamKids be more polite and it backfires when a store clerk makes her realize what a terrible person that she is.

In episode 213 7th Heaven manages to pull off an episode about Lucy that was mildly entertaining. Jimmy Moon and Rastafarian Rod return to vie for Lucy's affections because apparently there are no less irritating freshmen girls available in Glenoak. The other kids take bets on who Lucy will choose while she of course basks in the glory of toying with peoples emotions because she is manipulative and awful. The Rev and Annie provide marriage counseling for three couples that don't even know what their marriage troubles are and Grandpa Jackson returns.

In episode 212 of CamdenCast scandals surrounding sex, lies, and basketball put Glenoak on edge. In reality of course, nothing scandalous happens. Annie apparently isn't the church treasurer anymore and the new guy is a thief and someone tries to "sexually" Mary again.
