Howdy, campers! We have another exciting announcement for you! The Camp Walk·Along Wire will be back this year with stories of a brand new trail!
Listen in to this season 2 teaser to hear old favorites and new counselors as we enjoy the wonderful world of the outdoors on another of America's scenic long-distance hiking trails, all while bringing you all the sights and sounds of the quintessential summer camp. More news to come as camp gets in to full swing!
We're going on a(nother) walk... wanna walk along?
Yeeeeehaw! Camps collide in this special episode of The Camp Walk•Along Wire. Those campers from across the lake at Camp AT and Camp PCT are here to tell us all about their experiences thru hiking in 2021. We've told you all about the Continental Divide Trail, and now you can hear all about life on the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail with a little help from our friends!
Joining us to talk about his experience on the Pacific Crest Trail is Tyler Clements, known on trail as "Tabs" and if you listen in, you can hear all about how he earned that name. His thoughtful and well planned approach can provide a different lens in to thru hiking than the happy-go-stupid approach that we seem to favor.
Also joining us to talk about her experience on the Appalachian Trail is Shannon Foley, also known as "Potential Roadkill". Roadkill offers up her experience doing a unique flip flop path as a reaction to circumstance and injury and how it shaped her hike! She also shares a little insight on her background, and how she came to be a thru hiker.
The Campfire burns bright as all involved gather to talk about similarities and differences on the different trails, and get to know each other a little better. Turns out those kids from across the lake weren't so bad after all!

Howdy Campers and welcome back for our FINAL episode covering our journey along the Continental Divide Trail! We sit down, some 5 months after returning home, with our dear historian Bookworm to talk through what this experience meant to us. We laugh, we cry, we even throw up a little in our mouth but manage to get it under control. Join us as we talk through many aspects of this experience. Bookworm takes us on a journey of discovery as we discuss our individual experiences, how this affected our friendship, and our future trail dreams. We hope you enjoy this peek into post trail life and we're so glad you walked along with us! While this is our FINAL episode covering the CDT we have big plans for 2022 that we can't wait to share with you all soon. Get some rest campers, summer camp is just around the corner!

Howdy Campers! We’ve got something a little different for you this week! We have some of our fellow hikers from the CDT on to share some of their most memorable experiences and provide some of their advice for your own future journeys! The phrase "Hike your own hike" is used in a lot of different ways on trail - it can be used to tell someone to go away, to encourage someone, or to settle a disagreement in a neutral way, but it also just means: do it however you need to for you to keep going! Listen to our fellow hikers as they share how they hiked their own hike!

Listen along as we recant our tales of the final 100 miles, and slowly wrap up the trail. Some familiar friends return as we make our way out of the rocky mountains (except for PDF who's a full time Rocky Mountain boy) and everybody makes their way home! Wizardspoon and Bison return to Indiana where it all began, but don't worry campers- Hoosier state facts will have to wait for another day. We're back home now, resting and happy, but we will be back soon with one final episode about our experience on the Continental Divide trail. Keep an eye out for all our details on Summer Camp 2022 as well! We love you all campers, and hey... we went on a walk! Thank you for walking along!
As our counselors wrap up the hike, we’re glad to have you with us this season! If you have any questions for our campers, send them our way at [email protected] or hit us up @campwalkalong on instagram. If your question is featured on air, we’ll reach out to make sure you receive an official Camp Walk•along sticker. Our camp is powered by you - the campers. If you feel so inclined, financial contributions to the hike can be made at anchor.fm/camp-walkalong and your support, emotional, financial, or otherwise, is truly appreciated. Leave a rating and subscribe on your platform of choice! Our camp staff wants you to have the best summer ever.

Howdy campers! Your favorite trail friends are back with just 100 sweet miles left in this incredible journey. Grab your favorite trail snacks (if you have any food left after that last stretch) and listen in! This week we bring you a roller coaster of an adventure through the final stretches of the CDT. The boys venture on through the Bob Marshall wilderness, and find themselves unexpectedly separated. If you've been lost without us, then you're not unlike Bison who has a habit of navigating the old fashioned way-badly! There's good news: Wizardspoon rolls a joint. There's bad news: it was his ankle. Come along with us as we get ever closer to our final passage through Glacier National Park!
Thanks for walking along with us! As our counselors continue through Montana and beyond, we’re glad to have you with us this season! Howdy Campers and welcome back to The Camp Walk•Along Wire! It's time to sit down on your couch and double barrel some White Claws as we finally reach our final state: Montana!
The boys are back in the National Park System as they enter and explore Yellowstone. They didn't have to go it alone through Yellowstone (and this episode) and were joined by that rude nude dude, Nude Beach, and that pickin' wild mild child, Buckmild. We discuss our inability to make reservations, a mysterious door marked "TUB ROOM", and everybody's favorite tactful recitation of government designated information: State Facts with Marcus! We're on our very last state, so buckle up (your pack) as we finish out this beautiful trail!

Welcome to week 14 of the Camp Walk•Along Wire! This week! For the first time in history! Never seen before on this trail or any other! Bison admits he was wrong about something!!!
The boys have landed in Lander, roared in to Rawlins, and finally the boys are in Dubois. Wyoming's heat has taken a toll, but Wyoming has also served up some incredible visual feasts for old Spoon and Bison. While resting up in town, the delightful duo reminisces on the previous week of adventures. Then, we recap the Wind River Range as 'No Sky July' finally comes to a merciful end. They also make a call to PDF to learn more about his off trail adventures. Finally they discuss some historic areas, and cross over parts of The Oregon Trail. With that, we urge you to pack up your wagon and pray you don't die of dysentery on this week's episode of The Camp Walk•Along Wire!

Welcome to week 13 of the Camp Walk•Along Wire! It's time to break the surly bonds of Colorado and boldly go where no campers have gone before.... Wyoming!
Put on your cowboy boots (and your headphones) for this week's episode! Join us as we enter the third state on our journey, and return back to the desert! In this episode we discuss the hot hot heat, Bison's first Bison sighting, and everybody's favorite segment: State Facts! To quote dear Wizard Spoon, this one is "Wyoming as hell."

Welcome to week 12 of the Camp Walk•Along Wire! Enjoy the last of the time we have together in Colorado as we finish up the last few miles together! These last few weeks have been tough, with high altitude, hard weather, and no where we can afford to sleep. Don't worry, We get it all figured out.... eventually!
Join us as we talk about some of our highs on trail: The highest point on the CDT, some lovely hangouts with off trail pals, hiker 4th of July (which is also coincidentally the 4th of July), and a luxurious stay on our bartender's lawn. We also transform from stinky no good dirty hikers, to stinky no good dirty celebrities as Steamboat Springs embraces us with open arms. There are also some lows on this episode, even if they aren't to be found on the trail in Colorado. Learn about the tough stretches and the wear and tear of 5 weeks at altitude. We finally lull our dear pal Crazy Eyes to sleep before we say goodbye to a special someone. Turn on, tune in, and WALK•ALONG!
