Now that we have learned to pray to God, what do we do when He answers? What if His will for us is scary or difficult? What’s next when our prayers are answered?

How Long O Lord is often our cry. We ask and wonder if God will answer. The Israelites cried out in captivity and God answered – but it took time. How long must we persevere?

If we are going to pray, what should we ask for? God tells us to pray in His will, but what does that mean? Do we ask great things? How do we have confidence that God will even answer? Where does our faith come in to all of this?

If anything, prayer needs to be demystified in the church. Prayer is a conversational relationship between us and God; it is not a superstitious charm or magical formula. In Luke 11:1, Christ’s disciples asked him to teach them how to pray: so let’s learn too.
