A Carbon Tax is not a bad idea if the tax is revenue neutral.  It's imperative for politicans to midigate any negative impact on individuals, business and the economy as a whole.  A Carbon Tax that is not revenue neutral fails that test.

Over the past 4 years we have had to endure a silly amount of talk about the housing market in Vancouver.  Politicians have droned on about what they will do about affordable housing while simultaneously adding thousands of dollars to the sale of detached homes and condos.

Federal spending has cracked the $3billion dollar mark this fiscal year with tax revenues up 6%.  Dispite the growth in revenues, the debt is racking up.  Can Canada continue on this path?

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers have started rotating strikes after not reaching a deal with their employer.  But do you care?  At the end of the day, postal workers get paid by you, the taxpayer.  With a company that loses money, should taxpayers be on the hook to pay for a dying business?
