Crusaders icon and current Glenavon centre half Colin Coates joins me on Campbell's Footballs to discuss his time in the Irish League. We discuss starting out at the Crues, opening up against Chimney Corner before announcing himself on the scene during the 2009 Irish Cup final against Cliftonville. A key moment in Coates' journey came in Crusaders Setanta Cup final win over Derry City. On the show, Colin talks about his double and penalty in the shootout which helped seal history. We talk about league success with the Crues, battles with Linfield and Coleraine and working under Steven Baxter.
Colin moved to join Glenavon in the summer and we finish up by chatting about the Lurgan Blues, Gary Hamilton and working again with teammate Sean Ward.

Declan Devine, the manager of Derry City Football Club, joins me for this latest episode of Campbell's Footballs. On the show we talk about Declan's playing days as a goalkeeper, as he enjoyed an interesting career in Northern and Southern Ireland. We then move onto life in management and his love affair with the Candystripes and his relationship with the current Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny. We discuss early times at Derry before moving across to manage Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Premiership. Curtis Allen joins me for this latest episode of Campbell's Footballs. In this episode we chat about how Curtis manages his life as a part time footballer and a full time teacher. We start off by discussing life at Bournemouth where guys like Brett Pittman made a big influence in his playing career. We then chat about life in the Irish League which includes time at Linfield and Lisburn before moving onto Coleraine for a first stint at the Bannsiders. Curtis then spent some time in Scotland at Highland club Inverness Caledonian Thistle so we chat about life under Terry Butcher and about why he didn't quite settle into life at Inverness.
We then move onto discuss life at Glentoran where Curtis is regarded a hero amongst many Glens fans. We discuss working under a range of managers at the Oval and some of the great goals scored in a Glentoran shirt.
