Karlyle Tomms is a writer who grew up in rural Ozarks poverty. He completed his master’s degree in 1981. He has written for different regional magazines and newspapers over the years. He often is selected to speak at professional and non-professional events and radio talk shows. However, he had never published fiction until completing his first novel in 2014. His general method for fiction has been to define a character and allow that character to tell their own story from a first-person perspective as though the character is writing an autobiography. Through his characters, he explores the psychology of the human condition and the various elements and entanglements of personalities. His novels incorporate the social and historical influences surrounding the lifetimes of his characters and are stories of overcoming social, emotional, and spiritual challenges. Mark Heathco was born and raised in North Hollywood, California, went to North Hollywood High school, and played football for the North Hollywood Huskies In 1978.  He joined the Army and went to Basic and advanced training at Fort Benning. Upon completion, his assignment was to South Korea, where he served in the 2ND Infantry Division from 1978 to 1991 with nine rotations to the Demilitarized Z or the DMZ. He had 385 patrols inside the DMZ. Mark now resides in Xenia, Ohio, with his family and writes books about his encounters with the North Koreans inside the DMZ, the U.S. Sector.

Russell Vann is a freelance writer that began writing his memoirs in 2013. He was born in the South Bronx and lived there for the majority of his life. His two books, Ghetto Bastard and Ghetto Bastard 2 both reached #1 on Amazon.  The third book in the series, Ghetto Bastard III was released in 2019.

He attended Cardinal Hayes High School for two years and then Howard Taft High School for one year. As he didn’t graduate, he attended a program where he worked and took classes so that he could get his G.E.D. In later years he took Computer Science College courses.

His work background includes hard labor, Corrections and being a Caregiver. He has often held two jobs at a time to provide for his family.

His great-grandmother was the biggest influence in his life because she raised him. She gave him his great sense of family where other members of his family failed him. As a young boy just entering manhood, he ran the streets and had his share of trouble but always learned from the mistakes he made.

His love life was no different. He made a lot of mistakes there too. Fortunately, he finally got it right and married the love of his life.

He attended Book Expo America and Book Con in 2019 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York, NY.

Bart Édes is a policy analyst, commentator, and author of Learning From Tomorrow: Using Strategic Foresight to Prepare for the Next Big Disruption (2021). He studies the rise of Asia, innovation, the sustainable development goals, and transformative trends reshaping the world.
