Can Do with Bill Duncliffe

We are hearing a lot about Founding Fathers lately.  This week's podcast features an informative and entertaining conversation with NHC founding father Eric Wing.  We talk about how he got into racing and his career journey to his current position as Communications Director at Horsetourneys.com.

Bob Phillips is a nationally known comedian featured on, among other places, Sirius XM's Rawdog channel. He has a very funny new album coming out tomorrow, January 31, called 10 Dollar Gift Card. I got an early preview and I can tell you it was very enjoyable. As was my conversation about a big score Bob had as a child. All told with his trademark humor, of course!

I can't think of a better way to kick off Season 4 of our Can Do podcast than by interviewing Peter Thomas Fornatale. When I listened back to my interview with Peter, one word came to mind. Raconteur!

Peter is the Money Players' Podcast host, founder of the World Horseplayers' Tour and much more.

I sat down with Eric Wing, Communications Director at HorseTourneys.com, to hear a few of his big score stories.

This week I sat down with Joe Rosen, long time managing editor of the Daily Racing Form to talk about his time at “The Bible” back in those days when linotype machines, pneumatic tubes and characters straight out of Guys and Dolls put that and other newspapers out on the street on a daily basis.

Leon Nichols, of the Project to Preserve African-American Turf History and Bet the World Entertainment, shared his story of one of the biggest payouts in Kentucky Derby history.

Rip is the founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Old First Ward stable.  He’s also a member of 3 different sports Halls of Fame – the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame, the Buffalo Sabres Hall of Fame and the Hockey Hall of Fame.  Rip is passionate about what he does, passionate about horse racing and passionate about Buffalo.  That’s my kind of guy.  I think you’ll enjoy our discussion about racing and his life in sports.

Sal DeMilio is a nationally know comedian from Detroit, Michigan and a very funny guy! For the today's big score, Sal not only had a very funny story of his own but, for a change of pace, Sal and I also read a screenplay by Sal's friend regarding a true big score story.
