Welcome to week 2 of Ceserean Awareness month!  This week, Jenn Leonard and Lauren Silk, founders of Colorado Mountain Doulas (www.coloradomountaindoulas.com), join us on the show to talk about the importance of having help from a birth assistant (also called doula) during your birth.  What should you look for in a doula?  Why is it so important to have one?  In the Bible, birth was something that all the women in the village participated in.  No woman was left alone to birth their baby.  The comfort of being surrounded by women who have gone before you in birth can be very encouraging.  Dr Pauline & Catherine will also discuss with Jenn & Lauren the importance of planning ahead and actually writing out a birth plan.
